Terms of submission
What you agree to by sending us a sample, and what we agree to in return. Last revised 29 October 2026.
Publication
Every report is published at its own address under its accession number and listed on /reports, whatever the result says. A result you dislike is published the same way as one you like, and we will not delete it: the register is built to refuse a deletion and to show one at its next integrity check. Corrections are issued as new reports and the original stays, marked retracted.
No sender’s name, company or contact is recorded in the register or printed on any report. The lot or batch reference you give us is printed verbatim so that a buyer can match the report to the vial. If you do not want a reference printed, do not give one.
What you confirm by sending
That you may lawfully possess the material and ship it to us, that it is not a controlled substance under the law where you are or where we are, and that you have told us if it needs special handling.
That you understand we measure composition only. We do not and cannot assess whether a substance is safe, effective, sterile, or lawful to possess or administer, and no report is clearance to use anything.
What we provide
The measurements described in the report, by the method stated on it, on the sample as received under that accession. A result describes one container at one moment. It says nothing about other vials, about what a seller ships next, or about handling after the sample left us.
Results are provided as measured. We make no warranty of fitness for any purpose. Our liability for any report, however arising, is limited to the fee paid for it. The turnaround guarantee is as stated on the pricing page and is the only guarantee we make.
Statements of conformity
Where you supply a specification, or the vial carries a label claim, the conclusion on the certificate is a statement of conformity reached by the rule below, which you accept by sending the sample. Decision rule (ISO/IEC 17025:2017 7.8.6; ILAC-G8:09/2019): the conclusion is reached by simple acceptance (guard band w = 0) on the value rounded to its reported precision; the statement beside it says whether the conclusion still holds with the expanded uncertainty (k = 2) included, the guard band w = U. Where a limit is stated more coarsely than the result, comparing at the reported precision is stricter than USP General Notices 7.20 and Ph. Eur. General Notices 1.2, which round to the limit's own digits.
Where no specification is supplied, the result is reported as measured, for information, and no conclusion is drawn.
Your material
Leftover material is held for 30 days after the report issues, in case you ask for a re-test, and is then destroyed. We do not return it, and we do not sell, transfer or disclose it to anyone.
If you may want a re-test, ask us before you send the sample and we tell you how it is handled.
If you want to know how a vial broken in transit or a sample lost in our hands is handled, ask us before you ship.
Email and records
We keep your email correspondence for as long as is needed to answer it and to invoice, and no longer. It is not linked to any published record. We do not use it for marketing.
Each order has a private status page, at a link we send only to the address the order was placed from; it prints the order reference, the lot references and the state of each sample, and no name, address or email. The link is listed nowhere, and we replace it on request.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and disputes are heard in its courts. If part of these terms is unenforceable the rest stands.
